Pueblo Sustainability

Pueblo Sustainability Mission:
To promote and implement sustainability policy and management systems including energy efficiency, use of renewable resources, and conservation practices while fostering entrepreneurial-ism and economic development in Pueblo County, Colorado.
LEED for Communities
Pueblo County was recently awarded a grant from the U.S. Green Building Council to complete the LEED for Cities and Communities framework, which will help us evaluate our community in the following sectors: Natural Systems & Ecology, Transportation & Land Use, Water Efficiency, Energy & Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Materials & Resources, and Quality of Life. We’re working toward a healthy environment and sustainable standard of living for everyone! We’re posting data as it’s collected, so click on a category to learn more about our progress.

The Sustainability Plan Action Team (SPAT) is a group of individuals from diverse community sectors that meet monthly at the Pueblo Department of Public Health & Environment. Over the past 7 years, we have been working to implement the various strategies and action steps outlined in Pueblo County's 2012 Sustainability Plan.
